With nearly $13000 raised, many prizes awarded and a fun, sunny day behind us the satisfaction is real. Well done racers, sponsors and volunteers!!!

SSASS thanks you all for your wonderful support and participation. Funds will be used to support SSASS programs, where we help persons with disabilities enjoy the experience of winter fun and freedom from barriers.

DSABC Race/ Long John's Pub joint event January 21, 2012

As a part of the Building Our Best Weekend - a Disabled Skiers Association of BC race and training for disabled athletes.....

Long John's will be donating some of the proceeds from the days sales to SSASS.   Right here at Silver Star Mountain Resort.

Come out to see the race and enjoy a little cheer at Long Johns

Carter Classic A Success!

It was fun for all and a successful fundraiser for SSASS as 18 teams raised slightly over $12000.00. on Saturday Feb 5th 2011. Costumes, sunshine, food and prizes sent us all home feeling good and as always the race event was a great way to meet people, enjoy friends and participate in a snow sport event.
 
Teams race to determine who is the best estimater of their own time through the course. The team with the most accurate estimate against recorded time wins.
 
Thank you to all the organizers, prize donors, food preparation folk, team participants and sponsors ski coaches, marshalls, SSMR staff. Your help will assist us in keeping the SSASS story going.... promoting ABILITY and active living for everyone. Attached are the race entries and race time results.
