In 2018 your donations made it possible for 94 adaptive skiers and snowboarders to experience the thrill of Silver Star. Combined they received 550 lessons. Our volunteer instructors donated 1600 hours of instruction time.
About the race … what a day we had!! 18cm of snow over night and temperatures down to -17C made things interesting to say the least. The Silver Star Mountain Resort team of groomers, course setters and staff did an outstanding job of prepping the course and setting up the corral. A small snag with the equipment meant we didn’t start racing quite on time, but eventually it all worked out.
75 intrepid racers braved the conditions to rock the race course. Not everyone finished, there were one or two spectacular spills, but everyone had fun. And that’s what it is all about.
